web 2.0

It is unbelievable the amount of social networking sites there are out there! I now have a blog (obviosuly), myspace, facebook, twitter and I am working on my LinkedIn. Crazy! It is definitely addicting though and I can see why they have all caught on rather quickly. With the new web 2.0 I can only imagine what the future has in store for us!

There are so many good television shows on, too. Don't forget to catch the 2 hour season premier of Dancing With the Stars tonight at 8 on abc!! It's amazing that I have time to leave my house LoL I don't think I know what it's like to be bored. I am not complaining though because it suits my personality type to always be busy and that's how I like it!

Sheldon the Armadillo

We had the Roger Williams Park Zoo in studio today and they brought in an armadillo! It was very cool-looking and I fed it a live meal worm-AH! When Sheldon ate it out of my hand, it felt like a vaccuum. I can't wait for the warm weather so I can go to the zoo. The zoo is open during the winter, but I prefer to wait for spring!

I finished the 3rd book (Eclipse) in the Twilight saga last night! I am going to start the last book tonight and I am pumped! I am a little sad though that it is the last one because I can't get enough of them! Maybe another book will be added to the saga??

Gone Country

So much has been going on that I am not sure what to even talk about! Of course, I have to mention the Inauguration yesterday with Presdient Obama! It was incredible to watch it and to experience such an important day. I only wish that I was there! Though I am glad that I didn't have to battle the crowds of people and was able to watch it from the comfort of my living room.

Today was also a very cool day because John Rich stopped by the studio and we were able to talk with him and hear his new single "Another You." Can't wait for Gone Country 3 to start on Jan. 24!! John was telling us about the show and it seems like a lot of the contestants on the show have a lot of potentional to "go country."

What's New

Wow, how the holidays flew by! I can't believe Christmas and New Years have already passed and it is already January 6th! I was so sad to take down my Christmas tree a few days ago! I was reminded today that Valentine's Day is coming up and I am looking forward to that.

I had such a busy weekend. I went paintballing, sledding, bowling, shopping, out to dinner, and I read the book Twilight. I am now obsessed with the Twilight saga and can't wait to read the next book. Not sure yet if I am going to go see the movie in a theatre or wait until it comes out on DVD. I don't have any plans yet for the weekend so maybe I'll go to the movies to see it.

What's New!

We have added a new feature to the Morning Showgram's web site! We are adding pod casts of some of our favorable moments on the show! Keep checking back because there will be more added every few days!

It's the eve of Christmas Eve so that means last minute shopping for everyone- including me! I am not looking forward to battling the stores later on today, but it needs to be done! Tomorrow is also my last day of work for the work week! I will be off on Thursday and Friday, but no worries, all three of us will be back together again in action next Monday!

I am excited for this weekend and hope that the snow doesn't get in the way of my plans again. Although I do want to go skiing, so the snow won't affect those plans!

6th Annual Country Music Fest!!

What better gift to get someone than tickets to Country Music Fest!?? The 6th annual New England Country Music Festival tickets go on sale Saturday, December 13 and make sure to get a pair because it is definitely one concert you do not want to miss!!! Kenny Chesney puts on an AMAZING show, and this year will be no different! Kenny's tour in 2009 will be called the Sun City Carnival tour. Also, on the bill are fan favorites Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry and Sugarland! Tickets were sold out within minutes last year so make sure to get them quickly!

Tomorrow on the Morning Showgram one lucky listener will win front row tickets to the CMF! Make sure to be listening all morning long, especially at 8:40am when we give away the tickets! I hope you have been listening to the Showgram all week long because the question is going to be from something that has happened on the Showgram this week between 6am-9am! Anything is fair game!

We will also be giving away a family four pack of tickets to Santa's Village in NH. I have never been, but would love to go because I have heard only good things about it! I also hear that it's not just for children, but for all ages, which is why I would love to go. This is definitely my favorite time of year and I can't get enough of holiday type outings!

It's the Holiday Season!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a very nice Thanksgiving with my family and a great weekend with my friends and boyfriend. I had so much turkey that I never want to eat it again until next year haha!

Kudos to those brave enough to fight the Black Friday crowds! I was one of those people and I must say that I enjoyed myself! I love shopping for gifts for my family and friends and love the holidays so it's a win-win situation for me. I didn't get as much shopping done as I would have liked, but you have to start some where. Another favorite part of shopping is getting to wrap the gifts after I buy them! I spent a half hour trying to find the perfect wrapping paper! I couldn't decide on one so I chose three different patterns!

I'm off to our Morning Showgram photo shoot- ahh so excited! Check back soon for more updates and make sure to listen to Cat Country 98.1 WCTK ALL DAY!
